Hello everyone i am so excited to say that this Wednesday was my oldest sisters' birthday, yay! i am incredibly grateful to have, and have had, her in my life growing up. having her as an older sister meant that i always had someone responsible watching out for me, i absolutely hated it and always complained that she acted like my mother. it definitely took maturity and time for me to realize that she did this because she cared deeply about my well being and for that i am incredibly grateful we got to spend another full year together...oh yeah and did i mention she is also extremely hard working.
Anyways she wanted to spend her birthday in Sequoia National Park so we [my two sisters, her husband, the dog and i]packed ourselves into the the car and drove up to the mountains, had a little lunch up there, we went on some short trails before realizing that Vader wasn't allowed in any of them! so we ended up hanging out in a small meadow filled with tiny purple flowers i thought where just beautiful..(there are so many beautiful things in this world that the camera doesn't do it justice) it was a beautiful day that ended with a scoop of ice cream (my favorite!)
My beautiful older sister aka the birthday girl
and hipster younger sister
Vader the baby giant
I know this picture is blurry and people are mid movement but i like it its a snap of a realistic moment in life
The best ice cream is right before entering the park.. I cant remember the name! but it looks like a Christmas cottage.. you'll know it when you see it
Ps. i am also really excited because i have been working really hard on this website and i finally figured out a way to include the "you might also like..." section at the bottom of each post so i have been busy including that in every post. Also the menu up top of the places I've been is now Clickable... that took me quite a while too, but i am very happy with it as it serves as a place where people that are interested in travel can browse posts based on the country and state I've been!
